Countdown to the Inaugural National Rural Health Day!

November 17th will be a big day for those who care about rural America – it will be the first ever National Rural Health Day. This day will be an opportunity to showcase healthcare issues in rural America and to share some inspiring stories of individuals and organizations who are working together to improve the health-related quality of life of our residents of rural communities. This will become an annual event- the third Thursday of November each year will be known as National Rural Health Day.

Here in Arizona, our Center is working with other stakeholders, including the Arizona Rural Health Association, to plan for the big day. Be sure to watch for some exciting changes coming to this website as the big day draws closer. Our personal challenge to you is this: what will you do to bring attention to rural health issues on November 17th within your circle of influence?
