Guest Blog: County Health Rankings for Community Health Needs Assessments

RWJF Community Health Rankings LogoThe Robert Wood Johnson Foundation just released its annual County Heath Rankings that rate the health of nearly every county in the nation. The site has interactive maps and new –county level trend graphs starting from 2010 to now, 2013. Arizona’s rural counties are able to see where each is ranked by specific health outcomes, health factors and morbidity/mortality. As the state’s County Public Health Departments and not-for profit hospitals complete and/or begin to implement their defined strategy based on their community health needs assessment (CHNA), these data will be very useful to monitor trends.
