Safford Community Forum for Signing up for the Health Insurance Marketplace
SAFFORD — Graham County Health Services and the Center for Rural Health University of Arizona, Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health, are teaming to stage a community forum to help agencies enroll the uninsured in the Health Insurance Marketplace/Affordable Health Care Act.
The two-hour forum is targeted to agencies that serve the uninsured and underinsured, agencies that refer people to other community resources and health-care clinics, mental health treatment providers, social service agencies, hospitals and members of the faith-based community.
The forum will address how to answer the public’s questions about the Health Insurance Marketplace, the Small Business Health Options Program, the difference between the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicare/Medicaid and the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System and how to help clients obtain health insurance through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
The forum will take place Nov. 7, from 9-11 a.m., in the large assembly room of the Graham County General Services Building.
