Jacquelyn Abad is the communications specialist for The Center of Rural Health.

She is originally from Diamond Bar, California but came out to Tucson to study Broadcast Journalism and Spanish at The University of Arizona. This year, Jacquelyn has interned at KOLD News where she worked alongside producers, reporters and anchors to report stories.

In the summer of 2012, Jacquelyn studied abroad at the I.E. University in Segovia, Spain where she was fully immersed in the Spanish culture and language.

Prior to working at The Center for Rural Health, Jacquelyn interned for the Los Angeles Police Department in their Media Relations unit and wrote news releases and stories for their online paper, The Beat.

She plans on graduating in May 2014.
