The Arizona Health Workforce Survey

How will the Affordable Care Act and AHCCCS expansion affect your practice?

These surveys will gather necessary information about the capacity of Arizona to implement health reforms and to meet the medical and public health service needs of its population through training, recruitment and retention of health professionals.

The information you provide will help policy makers, health profession education programs, health profession associations, private sector and public sector stakeholders make informed decisions for meeting current and future workforce needs in Arizona.

All the data reported will be aggregated to assure your confidentially (see informed consent details below).

Confidentiality and Informed Consent

We are conducting a HEALTH WORKFORCE STUDY and would like you to participate in a confidential survey that will be used to assure that there will be adequate healthcare providers and public health professionals to serve all Arizonians. We may ask that you identify yourself and provide location specific information about your work and future plans.

The purpose is to use this information to track and understand the changing status of Arizona’s health professions workforce, to allow informed policy development that will improve the production of and retention of the state’s health workforce.

The information that you provide will be aggregated and reported so that no individual will be identifiable, as we have done in other workforce studies.

The final report will be posted on the Arizona Area Health Education Center website Arizona Area Health Education Center.

Informed Consent

You are invited to participate in a research project studying the health professions in Arizona. The only risk to participating is breach of confidentiality regarding the work related information that you provide. This risk is inherent in using the Internet, however, efforts will be made to keep your responses confidential. Participation is voluntary, and responses will be kept confidential to the degree permitted by the technology being used.

Participation or nonparticipation in the survey will not impact your relationship with The University of Arizona or the Arizona State licensing boards. Submission of this page will be interpreted as your informed consent to participate and that you affirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
