Preview of the 2012 Rural & Public Health Policy Forum

Policy ForumBy Rebecca Ruiz

We hope you can join us the annual Arizona Rural & Public Health Policy Forum on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the State Capitol in Phoenix.

This year's forum presenters will address issues on access to care for all Arizonans, affordable health insurance, electronic medical records, mass media in rural communities and more. In addition to our wonderful local speakers, we will have a representative from the National Conference of State Legislatures provide background on how states are addressing health policy given the current economic climate and the ACA, and tips on how forum attendees can work with Arizona State Legislators around addressing rural and public health issues.  All Arizona State legislators have been invited to the lunch and Forum and will have an opportunity to briefly state their legislative priorities for the upcoming session.

There is a registration process so be sure to check out the Forum website at http://crh.arizona.edu/events/policy-forum/2012.  Space is limited and filling up quick, so register now!

Feel free to contact me with any questions about the Forum at 520/626-2243 or by email:  raruiz@email.arizona.edu.
