Purpose:
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey declared a public health state of emergency on June 5, 2017 in response to the alarming increase of opioid overdoses and deaths in the state.

Law enforcement is uniquely positioned to positively impact this epidemic via the rapid administration of naloxone/Narcan to patients suspected of overdose.

This training will provide law enforcement agencies the resources, knowledge, skills, and abilities to properly carry, handle, and administer naloxone in overdose situations.

Sponsored by the Arizona Department of Health Services Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma System
