Major 2012 Healthcare Policy Issues Facing Arizona

Policy advisor for Governor Janice Brewer, Donald Hughes will be discussing the major healthcare policy issues affecting Arizonans. Also, Hughes will talk about how the results from the upcoming elections and how they will affect healthcare insurance and medicaid.
Mr. Don Hughes who serves as Policy Advisor for Health Care and Executive Director for the Arizona Health Insurance Exchange for the Office of the Governor Janice K. Brewer. He is responsible for policy issues regarding health care, behavioral health, public health, Medicaid, insurance, tort reform and health care innovation. Prior to his current role in the Governor's Office, Mr. Hughes was Special Advisor for Health Care Innovation in charge of planning for an Arizona health insurance exchange and other health care reforms. He also served as a policy advisor for Governor Jane Dee Hull on regulatory, insurance and health care issues. Mr. Hughes has a Master's in Public Administration from Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. from the University of Illinois in political science and history.
