Vanessa da Silva, Ph.D., RD, is an Extension Specialist at the University of Arizona School of Nutritional Sciences and Wellness Nutritional Sciences. Dr. da Silva is the Director of the CDC-recognized U Arizona Diabetes Prevention Program, implemented statewide through Cooperative Extension.
Carlie M. Felion, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC, BC-ADM, is a dual board-certified family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. She holds an additional board certification in Advanced Diabetes Management through the Association of Diabetes Care & Education Specialists. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and her Post-Master’s Certificate from Duke University School of Nursing and is currently completing her Ph.D. training at the University of Arizona College of Nursing.
