The Advancing Health Equity and Addressing Disparities in Arizona (AHEAD AZ) program in collaboration with Cochise County Health and Social Services developed the Naloxone Administration Training video to educate individuals on the opioid epidemic.
This video informs the public about signs of overdose, Samaritan Law, and health-related risks that individuals with opioid and substance use disorders may experience. This partnership also engaged Melody Glenn, MD MFA FASAM, Assistant Professor, the U of A Departments of Emergency Medicine & Psychiatry, Director, Addiction Consult Liaison Service, Banner U of A Tucson who provides step by step instructions on the use of Naloxone (Narcan) to reverse an overdose and Elena Cameron from the U of A Comprehensive Pain and Addiction Center.
