Schedule announced for free AHCCCS/Medicaid signup assistance

University of Arizona Center for Rural Health has announced its summer and fall dates to schedule an appointment with a certified health insurance navigator in Graham County to receive assistance with enrollment in Medicaid/AHCCCS.

A UA Center for Rural Health representative will be on site at St. Vincent De Paul, 221 E. Main St., Safford, from 10 a.m. to noon on June 13, July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12 and Oct. 11.

The certified health insurance navigator will be available to assist those signing up during special enrollment periods, as well as those who experience a qualifying life event such as a change in zip code, losing health care coverage, getting married or divorced, having a baby or adopting a child, or an exceptional circumstances such as a medical condition or a natural disaster.

The navigator can assist with completing insurance applications or updating contact information and reporting changes to AHCCCS.

The assistance is free of charge and available in English and Spanish.
