Arizona Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program

Arizona Center for Rural Health (AzCRH) is collaborating with the Arizona Center on Aging to improve the health of older adults in rural Arizona.

The Arizona Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (GWEP) is a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) funded initiative to support workforce education and training to provide age-friendly services for older adults, specifically in rural and underserved areas across Arizona.

As federally designated as the Arizona State Office of Rural Health (AzCRH), brings expertise in improving the health and wellness of Arizona’s rural and underserved populations through education, technical assistance, data, and analysis. AzCRH’s long standing relationships with rural providers and communities will ensure that the rural health care sites and supportive care workforce receives the AZ-GWEP curriculum to become Age-Friendly Health Systems (AFHS).
