- Identify key non-Medicaid resources for Substance Use Disorder (SUD)/Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) in Arizona, including statewide, hotlines, and county-specific options.
- Highlight the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center’s opioid-related resources and discuss their role in overdose response and support services for individuals with SUD/OUD.
- Discuss best practices for disseminating resources and increasing public awareness of available services.
Heather Doss, MPH, MS is a community outreach coordinator for the Arizona Poison and Drug Information Center. Heather earned her master’s degree in public health with a concentration in health behavior and health promotion from the University of Arizona. She also holds degrees in biology and biomedical sciences. Through her role at the Poison Center, Heather has participated in several community events and given numerous talks on topics related to poisoning and envenomation prevention.
Estefanía Mendívil, BA, specializes in resource curation, dissemination, and strategic marketing to support rural health initiatives. She plays a key role in developing educational materials, outreach strategies, and stakeholder engagement efforts for the OD2A-S program. With a background in program coordination, communications, business operations and public health, she works to connect community health workers and rural providers with critical SUD resources and training opportunities.
