Sonoran Prevention Works - Statewide Overdose Prevention & Outreach Network

Sonoran Prevention Works (SPW) delivers a high-volume, community-led state-wide continuum of street-based overdose prevention outreach, mobile material safety-net distribution, and peer-led health navigation across all fifteen Arizona counties. Operating as a specialized 501(c)(3) funding code 1 (Non-Medicaid) framework supported by public health grants and philanthropic contributions, the network bridges systemic care gaps through a low-barrier, no-abstinence-required community model. The network pairs its in-person regional outreach teams with a free confidential mail-order distribution pipeline shipping over-the-counter Naloxone rescue tools and fentanyl test strips to any resident. The hub integrates rapid on-scene HIV and Hepatitis C screenings, localized community wellness training via the SPW Virtual Classroom, and direct case linkage to local outpatient clinical health homes.
