  • Discover how young adults and family members serve in compensated Advisor roles within their own communities 
  • Find out how to become a young adult or family Advisor or to refer a prospective Advisor to the program

 REGGIE MITZEL, Diverse Ability Incorporated

Diverse Ability Incorporated and Raising Special Kids manage the Engaging Families and Young Adults Program, which is funded by the Arizona Department of Health Service (ADHS) and focuses on promoting health equity in our communities. Kelly and Reggie recruit, train, and place young adults and family members in various community Advisor roles.

Kelly is Parent Leader Program Coordinator at Raising Special Kids. After receiving support and guidance from the organization for her son with autism and epilepsy she became a volunteer in 2011 and a staff member in 2015. Kelly is Arizona’s Family to Family Health Information Center Project Director and has many years of experience with family/youth leadership.

Reggie has been involved with Diverse Ability incorporated for a number of years, starting as a volunteer and inaugural board member. Her background spans education, youth development, and disability.
