Overdose Data to Action-S (OD2A-S)

The Arizona Center for Rural Health (AzCRH) & Comprehensive Center for Pain and Addiction (CCPA) partners with the Arizona Department of Health Services to implement their Overdose to Data Action S (OD2A-S) grant. The OD2A-S funding is provided to ADHS via the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As part of our scope of work, faculty, staff, students, and community partners create and deliver professional development content for clinicians, community health workers, and healthcare professionals in clinical and harm reduction. Key topics include implementing the 2022 CDC Clinical Practice Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Pain, integrated services, overdose recognition, naloxone administration, and medications to treat opioid use disorder (MOUD). We also provide training, technical assistance, and resources for integrating the Clinical Practice Guidelines into their electronic health records (EHRs) and maintaining a centralized list of non-Medicaid addiction resources to help individuals find the support they need.

 What we do:

We offer overdose recognition, naloxone administration, and us training. This training can be tailored to diverse groups and can be delivered in English and Spanish and is free of cost.
