Benson Hospital

Benson Hospital, located in Benson, Arizona, is a 22 bed facility providing care to both medical and surgical patients. A pharmacy is located in the facility served by a pharmacist. The hospital has six locally based physicians and physician specialists who serve the community on an appointment basis in areas such as cardiology, podiatry, mammography, and rehabilitation.  A relatively new redesigned Emergency Room (ER) now offers a specialized 8-bed unit designed to provide quality emergency care 24 hours a day, every day of the year.  In March 2011, Benson Hospital received Level IV Trauma Center designation for the ER from the Arizona Department of Health Services, Bureau of EMS and Trauma System. The hospital is now one of 13 in the state designated as a Level IV Trauma Center which supports the state’s Level I Trauma Centers in being able to resuscitate and stabilize a patient and transfer the patient to a more appropriate trauma center based on a patient’s injuries.
